Illustrative scenarios
Case Studies
Each case study below is a hypothetical scenario designed to show how I approach documentation, facilitation and planning. None of them represent a client engagement, and no results are claimed.
Case study 01
Onboarding documentation
Illustrative case study: hypothetical scenario, not a client engagement.
Context: a hypothetical team needs new members to become productive without repeatedly interrupting colleagues. The scenario explores how a structured onboarding guide and linked knowledge base could reduce that friction.
Approach
Map the first-week journey, identify the questions new members ask most, then draft task-based guides with clear prerequisites and expected outcomes.
Example deliverables
A starter guide, an SOP index, a knowledge-base outline with tagged articles, and a review checklist for keeping content current.
Evaluation criteria
Clarity of each step, findability of key topics, and whether a reader can complete a task without outside help.
Case study 02
Retrospective facilitation
Illustrative case study: hypothetical scenario, not a client engagement.
Context: a hypothetical delivery team wants retrospectives that surface real impediments rather than repeating the same general observations each sprint.
Approach
Set a clear purpose, use a visible board with start, stop and continue columns, and convert each recurring impediment into a named, owned action.
Example deliverables
A retrospective agenda, a facilitation board template, an impediment log, and a short action summary shared after each session.
Evaluation criteria
Whether every participant contributes, whether actions have owners, and whether impediments are visible across later sprints.
Case study 03
Project planning
Illustrative case study: hypothetical scenario, not a client engagement.
Context: a hypothetical cross-functional initiative needs a shared scope, schedule and risk view so that stakeholders understand trade-offs before work begins.
Approach
Define scope boundaries, sequence milestones on a timeline, and record risks with owners and mitigation options, reviewed with stakeholders on a fixed cadence.
Example deliverables
A scope statement, a milestone timeline, a risk register, and a stakeholder communication plan.
Evaluation criteria
Whether scope changes are traceable, whether risks have named owners, and whether stakeholders know what decisions are needed and when.
